The Indians Basketball teams will be saying hello to new faces this year, as the teams welcome new coaches at the start of the season.

Brad Parks, a first-year fifth grade teacher at Central Elementary School, holds the position of assistant varsity coach for the boys. Parks was a four year starter during his time at Kouts High School, and he played collegiately at Calumet College of St. Joseph’s and Purdue North Central.

Parks said he is looking forward to getting back in the gym and being part of the team again, as he’s been away from the game while he was finishing his degree. He is also looking forward to working with the staff and players throughout the season.

“My ultimate goal [this season] is just to encourage the players to work their hardest,” Parks said. “If they can do that day-in and day-out they will see the positive results of their hard work.”
