Interact fundraising for homeless shelter

Tori Henderson, Editor-in-Chief

Interact will be selling chocolate covered pretzels and rice krispy treats at all lunches from February first to the sixth.

Each treat will cost $1 and half of the profits will be donated to Gabriel’s Horn Homeless Shelter.

Gabriel’s Horn is a homeless shelter for single women and mothers in Porter County. They provide these women with a safe, temporary shelter and empower them by giving them the necessary tools through the community, education and counseling.

“We have kind of adopted Gabriel’s Horn as one of the organizations we are giving to. Portage Rotary Club is also going to be doing service projects for them.” Sponsor Amanda Brown-Holler said.

Interact meets every Wednesday in room B25 after school until 3:30.
